-Pinnacles and New Norcia, Western Australia (2 days)
- North from Perth is the Nambung National Park, where thousands of huge limestone pillars rising from the shifting yellow sands make a day trip to the Pinnacles, well worth the effort. These strange formations - some jagged, rising to a point; others more symmetrical - are in the Red Desert area of the park.
- Return to Perth via New Norcia and the serenity of Australia’s only monastic town. The monks of New Norcia’s Benedictine Monastery welcome visitors to join them at prayer times. Along with the charm and beauty of New Norcia’s historic Spanish architecture, sample freshly baked goods and other local produce.
-MONKEY MIA, WESTERN AUSTRALIA Fly north and hand-feed the dolphins at Monkey Mia, located in Shark Bay, a World Heritage-listed area, renowned for its friendly bottlenose dolphins that have been swimming to shore each day since the early 1960s. Visit the dolphin information centre for an interpretation of dolphin biology and behavioural patterns, and grab more information on the area’s activities and attractions. Slow the pace and while away the afternoon beachside, where you can soak up the sun, relax and recoup.

- Sydney is a vibrant, sophisticated city, built around one of the world’s most beautiful harbours. Enjoy the museums and the many art galleries, admire the stunning Opera House and take a guided backstage tour. The Rocks is the site of first settlement . Sample the vibrant nightlife of this cosmopolitan city - enjoy theatre, dance, concerts and the casino.
- Visit Sydney Tower, over 300m tall, providing 360-degree wonderful views over the city. Cruise the beautiful bays of Sydney Harbour and enjoy the sight of exclusive harbour side suburbs featuring parks and lush gardens. There’s something for everyone - choose a trip on a paddle steamer, cruiser or yacht. There are day tours or evening cruises complete with cabaret.
- Visit Darling Harbour and its many attractions, such as the Aquarium, National Maritime Museum, Powerhouse Museum, the Chinese Gardens, and IMAX and enjoy fantastic shopping. King Street Wharf and Cockle Bay offer a selection of restaurants and entertainment options. Walk across or climb world-famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. The view over the city and surrounds from its arch high above water is spectacular.
- Australia’s unique wildlife can be observed at world-famous Taronga Zoo, just a short ferry trip from Circular Quay, Sydney’s main transport hub. Close to Circular Quay are the Botanic Gardens featuring native and exotic plants and some spectacular views over the Opera House and harbour. Along historic Macquarie Street are some of Australia’s oldest buildings. Relax on the golden sands of Bondi or explore the northern beaches from Manly to Palm Beach. A spectacular scenic flight above the harbour is the perfect finish for the day.
